Wilson goes off in Hartford's win

Wednesday, January 20, 2010

Hartford’s Michael Wilson was scorching hot in the first quarter, pumping in four early 3-pointers on his way to 24 points and leading the Jaguars to an easy 64-37 victory over Marais des Cygnes Valley.

“We have a few offensive sets that free him up, and he does a good job moving without the basketball, coming across picks to get open,” Hartford coach Chuck Ewy said. “Most of them were uncontested, because he did his work coming into the shots to get open.”

With 14 first-quarter points from Wilson and seven from Adam Ewy leading the way, the Jags had a 29-11 lead at the end of the first and didn’t look back. Wilson went on to hit two more threes in the third quarter, giving him six for the game. He finished 9 of 16 from the floor.
