Brisket Meal
A meal of a brisket sandwich, beverage, chips and cookie will be served from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Grace United Methodist Church for a suggested donation of $5 each. Hosts are members of the 2010 Martin Luther King Planning Committee. All proceeds from the sale will support the purchase of supplies for the Children’s Program that promotes peace activities in observance of Martin Luther King’s birthday, which is observed the third Monday in January of each year. This year it will be celebrated on Jan. 18.
Soup Supper
The Olpe United Methodist Church will serve ham and beans, chili and other soups, relishes, desserts and coffee, tea and fruit beverages from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday. The cost is a freewill donation. For more information, call Lucille Barb at (620) 475-3863.
