Reward offered

Owners of the Breck Cafe in Americus are offering a reward for information leading to an arrest of the person or persons who broke into the cafe early Friday morning.
According to information from the Lyon County Sheriff’s office, someone apparently crawled through a ceiling in the kitchen area and unlocked the back door from the inside. The incident is believed to have happened shortly after 2 a.m.
The sheriff’s log stated that opened and unopened bottles of alcohol were taken in the theft, as well as a plastic jug containing donations. A Breck spokesperson said Sunday morning that the donation jug was to benefit the Americus Days Committee.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the sheriff’s office, 342-5545, or Lyon County Crime Stoppers, 342-2372.

Stupid criminals. I hope they are aware that nobody loves them. Actions like this won't make you any friends either.

I hope this reward will lead to information and an arrest(s). Recently, 4 people were arrested and each charged with 23 counts of burglary, criminal damage to property and theft for burglaries in Emporia - mostly Hispanic businesses. So I have faith in the cops, especially if they get a little help from the community.
