Two injured in I-35 rollover

A driver for Capital City Taxi company in Topeka was lifeflighted away from the scene of an accident Friday afternoon, shortly before 1 p.m. The accident happened at Milepost 136 on Interstate Highway 35.

The cab, driven by John T. Moten, 70, of Topeka, left the roadway and rolled over in the ditch. Moten was taken by Lifeteam helicopter to Stormont-Vail HealthCare for treatment, according to information from Lyon County Sheriff's deputy Jacob Welsh. He was reported in fair condition Sunday afternoon.

A passenger in the vehicle, Jorge E. Guzman, 31, of Emporia, was taken by Lyon County-Emporia Ambulance Service to Newman Regional Health, where he was treated and released.
