Olpe returned to its dominating ways in a 53-34 victory over Southern Coffey County on Thursday night.
The Eagles had been in a bit of a funk, losing their first regular season game in two years last Friday against Osage City and playing better but not up to their coach’s standards in a win on Tuesday against Cair Paravel.
Coach Chris Schmidt was much more pleased with his team’s performance against an SCC team that he said has improved throughout the season.
“I thought we played a more complete game,” Schmidt said. “We got off to a good start and we had a lapse here or there, but for the most part we played pretty solid.”
