Emporia High’s girls basketball team climbed to No. 4 in Class 5A in the latest Kansas Basketball Coaches Association rankings, and Olpe’s girls remained at No. 1 in Class 2A.
The Lady Spartans (12-1), ranked fifth last week, now sit only behind top-ranked Andover Central, St. Thomas Aquinas and Bishop Carroll. Olpe (14-0) has been at the top of the Class 2A rankings all season. Madison’s girls (12-4) are also ranked in Class 2A this week, cracking the No. 10 spot.
