For 36 minutes on Saturday night, Emporia State and Nebraska-Omaha traded leads and big shots.
But as has often been Emporia State’s bugaboo this season, when it came down to the final minutes of the game, Nebraska-Omaha kept making big shots and Emporia State ran out of answers in a 94-88 loss.
“Everything that could have gone wrong went against us, and that’s what happens when you’re down,” ESU coach David Moe said. “We’ve got to make our own breaks. You can’t have those things happen.”
