Orders for boxes from Angel Food Ministries will be taken next week at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2931 W. 24th Ave.
The basic box, for $30, will contain: 2 lbs. top sirloin steaks, 1.5 lb. boneless pork roast, 2 lb. boneless-skinless chicken breast, 2 lb. lasanga with meat sauce, 1.5 lb. fully cooked boneless chicken drumsticks, 1 lb. lean ground beef, 1 lb. frozen baby lima beans, 1 lb. frozen green beans, 1 lb. pasta, 25 oz. pasta sauce, 4 large russet baking potatos, 32-oz.dry milk, one dozen eggs, dessert.
Senior and convenience-meal boxes at $28 each include 10 nutritionally balanced, fully cooked meals. The entrees of the meals are: chicken parmesan with Brussels sprouts and zucchini, charbroiled beef patty, macaroni and beef, lemon pepper fish, mesquite chicken, spaghetti and meatballs, boneless pork patty, cheese manicotti, chicken and rice blend, macaroni and cheese. Each meal also includes a starch, two vegetables or fruits and dessert.
The allergen-free food box for $23 contains one pound each of chicken fillet patties, chicken tenders, chicken nuggets, steak fingers and chicken wings. All of the meats are breaded with water, white rice, brown rice, modified tapioca starch, flax seed, sugar, salt, spices, dehydrated garlic, spice extractives and oleoresin paprika and pre-browned in canola oil.
A seafood variety box for $35 contains 2 lbs. Alaska snow crab legs, 1 lb. large easy-peel shrimp, 2 lb. oven-ready popcorn shrimp, and 1 lb. (eight) stuffed crab in natural shell.
Five specialty boxes also are available with or without the purchase of a standard box listed above. The boxes will contain:
• Assorted meat grill box, 6.5 lb.: 1.5 lb. T-bone steaks, 2 lb. boneless pork chops, 1.5 lb. lean hamburger patties, 1.5 lb. mild Italian sausage links with cheese, $23.
• Assorted meat and chicken combo: 1.5 Kansas City strip steaks, 1.5 lb. prime rib steaks, 2 lb. gourmet-flavorted boneless chicken breast (4 mesquitge, 4 lemon-herb), $22.
• Stuffed chicken variety pack: 1.5 lb. each of chicken cordon bleu, broccoli and cheese, chicken Kiev, $18.
• Super value fajita kit: 2 lb. steak fajita strip packs, 2 lb. chicken breast fajita strip packs, 1 lb. onions and bell peppers, 20 8-inch flour tortillas.
• Fresh fruit and vegetable box: 3 lb. oranges, 2 lbs. red delicious apples, 1 lb. Chilean plums, 4 Anjou pears, 4 Fuji apples, 4 tangerines, 2 red grapefruit, six-pack of 1 oz. raisins, 3 lb. potatoes, 2 lb. yellow onions, head of cabbage, 1 lb. baby carrots, 1 lb. pinto beans, $22.
Orders will be taken from 2 to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Feb. 12 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 13 at the church office, located on the south side of the main church building.
Cash, money orders, and Vision cards are accepted as payment; personal checks are not. Orders also may be made online, for an additional $1, at www.angelfoodministries.com.
