Women’s symposium
A Women’s Symposium, “Changes, Challenges, Chuckles,” will be held Oct. 20 at Sacred Heart Parish Hall, 101 Cottonwood St., featuring Emporia Drs. Christina Faulkner and Trish Wood from the Medical Arts Clinic. Both specialize in obstetrics and gynecology. The morning session includes registration from 8 to 8:25 a.m. and a session from 8:25 a.m. to noon. The afternoon session includes registration from 12:30 to 12:55 p.m. and a session from 12:55 to 4:30 p.m. The registration fee is $60 each person for member businesses of the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce or $80 for non-members, with a special student fee of $30. Registration deadline is Oct. 16. An “Early Bird” discount of $10 is available, if registration is made by Friday (Oct. 2). This event is open to the public and all women are welcome.
