Emporia State held Central Missouri off the scoreboard for 50 minutes on Saturday at the ESU Pitch, but the UCM offense came to life in the second half.
The Jennies won 4-1, giving the Hornets their third straight loss.
Melanie Hall gave Central Missouri a 1-0 lead when she dribbled into the box and scored on an open shot.
UCM’s Sarah Thompson added to the lead in the 62nd minute.
The Hornets made it 2-1 on a Sarah Anderson goal in the 77th minute. Lauren Cathey got her first assist of the the season, centering the ball to Anderson, who scored from 40 yards out.
Hall scored her second goal of the game 41 seconds later to put the Jennies up 3-1. UCM’s Kayla Jupp scored the Jennies’ fourth goal on a deflected shot in the 87th minute.
Emporia State dropped to 1-5-1 overall and 1-4-0 in the MIAA. Central Missouri improved to 4-5-1 overall and 3-2 in the MIAA.
Emporia State plays next on Thursday at Missouri Southern at 7 p.m.
