Emporia Schools
BREAKFAST
Monday: Pancake on a stick.
Tuesday: Little smokies & Texas toast and jelly.
Wednesday: Burrito.
Thursday: Biscuits & gravy.
Friday: Frosted long john and mozzarella stick.
Breakfasts are served with juice and milk. Cereal and graham cookies are available each day as breakfast alternatives.
LUNCH
Monday: Tacoburger on bun, fries, fresh pepper strips and dip, diced pears, chocolate chip cookie.
Tuesday: Country steak, wheat dinner roll, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, banana, milk.
Wednesday: Chicken fajita, soft tortilla, refried beans, tossed salad, diced peaches, graham gripz.
Thursday: Burrito, nacho chips, cheese sauce, tossed salad, apple crisp.
Friday: Little smokies, macaroni and cheese, garlic biscuit, carrot sticks with dip, green beans.
Lunches are served with milk.
Friendship Meals
EMPORIA
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
For home delivery, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week:
Monday: Chicken patty, gravy, Lyonaise rice, Italian blend, bread, tropical fruit.
Tuesday:Scallop potatoes & hamburger, broccoli, wheat roll, pears, butterscotch brownie.
Wednesday: Pizza, lettuce and tomato with dressing, bread stick, fruit.
Thursday: Pork roast, boiled potatoes and gravy, carrots, bread, peaches.
Friday: Chicken and noodles, green beans, bread, blueberry muffin.
NORTH LYON COUNTY
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414.
Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week:
Monday: Ham and beans, coleslaw, cornbread, peaches.
Tuesday: Sausage gravy, biscuits, tater triangles, orange juice, grapes.
Wednesday: Chicken & noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, hot roll, cherry chocolate cake.
Thursday: Pork, gravy, boiled potatoes, carrots, hot roll, rosy applesauce.
Friday: Barbecued meatballs, hash brown casserole, peas, bread, tropical fruit.
