HARTFORD — It will be a celebration of harvest at Hartford on Saturday with the 19th annual Hartford Harvest Day.
Events at the festival include a car, truck and motorcycle show, quilt show, Kansas Museum of History and 4-H exhibits, an observance of National Hunting and Fishing Day, local arts and collections exhibits and an antique tractor show. There will be food available all day.
Schedule
- 6:30 a.m. — Biscuits and gravy, Methodist Church
- 7 a.m. — Registration begins for 5K Fun Run/Walk in front of fire house
- 8 a.m. — 5K Fun Run/Walk begins
- 9 a.m. — Food and craft booths, in new community building on Main Street
- 10 a.m. — National Anthem, parade “Over the Rainbow Harvest.” Grand marshals are Elmer and Arlene Crouch
- 10:30 a.m. — Ham and bean dinner, small community building
- 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Kids games, Art Mobile and Lyon County Historical Society activities for children, by car wash
- 11:30 a.m. — Little Mr. and Miss Hartford Harvest and parade winner announced
- 12 p.m. — 3 on 3 basketball, park and tractor roll
- 1 to 4 p.m. — Bingo at College Building
- 1 p.m. — Horseshoe pitching, next to old board office, kids tractor pull (Ages 4-12)
- 2 to 4 p.m. — Dunk tank
- 3 p.m. — Oz Olympics
- 4 p.m. — Bed races, next to ball diamond, talent show registration ends
- 4:30 p.m. — Talent show
- 4:30 to 7 p.m. — Evening barbecue by Neosho Rapids Community Projects
- 6 to 9 p.m. — Music by Pat Robison
- 9 p.m. — Street dance by Co-Dependents
