Chloe Blake recorded Emporia High’s only victories at the Spartans’ home tennis invitational on Saturday.
Playing at No. 2 singles, Blake went 2-3 on the day to finish in fifth place at the six-team meet. Blake defeated Hutchinson’s Katelin Richards in the first round by an 8-0 score, then later beat Blue Valley’s Megan Kliethermes 8-5. She lost to McPherson’s Kirsten Holle 8-0, Maize’s Zoie Young 8-1 and Olathe East’s Rachael Dennis 8-3.
