Fall Festival
The Grace United Methodist Church Fall Festival will be from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Local and regional vendors will have many items for sale, a local band will play and entertainers will perform throughout the day. There also will be activities for children, a silent auction and bake sale. For breakfast, the church will have homemade cinnamon rolls, coffee cakes and muffins. Bierocks and sloppy joes will be served for lunch. Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. For more information, call 343-2613.
Church Concert
There will be a benefit concert from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the New Life Christian Christian Church, 1505 Road 175, for Hannah James, 7, stepdaughter of former Emporian Matthew Michaels and his wife, Sandi Michaels of McPherson. This will be a family-friendly event with music and more. Hannah has moyamoya disease, a rare brain disease, and will have to have surgeries to provide her brain with oxygen-rich blood.
Church Dinner
The Olpe United Methodist Church will serve fish and brisket along with salads, coffee, tea and fruit beverages from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday. The cost is a free-will offering for the building fund. The building is handicapped accessible.
