Kidnapping, rapes charged

Tuesday, September 15, 2009

Danny Martinez faces multiple rape and kidnapping charges in Lyon County District Court.

Martinez is accused of aggravated battery, aggravated assault, attempted aggravated criminal sodomy, two counts of kidnapping and rape in an Aug. 28 incident described in a complaint filed Sept. 3.

Martinez also is accused of kidnapping a woman and raping her in a second incident alleged on Aug. 31.

The aggravated battery charge states that Martinez “did ... intentionally cause great bodily harm or disfigurement to (the victim).”

The aggravated assault charge alleges that Martinez used a knife to threaten his female victim with immediate bodily harm with a deadly weapon.

He is accused of holding her against her will and raping her, and with attempting to engage in oral or anal sodomy with the victim. He failed in that attempt or was prevented or intercepted in executing the crime, according to the complaint brought by Lyon County Attorney Marc Goodman.

The affidavit in the case has been sealed.

Martinez’s preliminary hearing will be at 9 a.m. Oct. 1.

Now this fits my definition of a "sexual predator." I hope he gets locked up for a long time. I'll be praying for his poor victim. And that he sees how wrong his actions were. It's just sickening that people like that exist.

The way that goodman worded that I bet this will be another case that goodman will let him walk.

But get a speeding ticket for 5 miles over the limit, you would think that it was a hanging offense, goodman has got to go and take his little boys with him.

Sounds open/shut to me. A victim is available for testimony, and she will likely identify him in court. This better get him a 20 year prison term.
