Emporia State quarterback Zach Rampy, his family and coach Garin Higgins decided this weekend that it’s best for Rampy to quit football because of multiple concussions.
Rampy, who started at quarterback Saturday against Central Missouri, left the game in the second quarter after taking a hard hit that caused the concussion. He’s had problems with concussions dating back to high school and also had several last season.
Higgins said on Sunday that Rampy will remain with the team as a student-assistant to help coach the offense.

That's really too bad, good luck Zach- you will do well in whatever you do in the future. What a loss for the Hornets too- now we're left with you know who.

verner3 - honestly I am trying to figure out what you're talking about with the receivers and I just don't get it. According to the ESU stats on-line 13 different Hornets have caught a pass this year and five different guys have touchdowns. Eight guys caught passes against UCM, nine guys caught passes at Augustana, and seven guys caought passes in the opener against SW Oklahoma. Who is this one receiver?
