Bison proposal

An open house is scheduled for Friday at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve for the public to ask questions or comment on the bison reintroduction environmental analysis and management plan. The open house will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the preserve’s ranch headquarters (in the stone barn) located off Highway 177 two miles north of Strong City.
Copies of the document may be obtained by visiting the preserve’s Web site at www.nps.gog//tapr, by calling the preserve’s office at (620) 273-6034 or by stopping by the preserve’s administrative office located at 266 Broadway in Cottonwood Falls. Written comments regarding the document may be mailed to P.O. Box 585, 226 Broadway, Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845 or e-mailed to tapr_superintendent@nps.gov.
