Bunny reunion
The Emporia National Education Association’s “Read to Your Bunny” project will celebrate its 1,000th bunny kit give-away with a Bunny Bee party from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Monday in the Emporia Public Library.
The kits, which include a children’s book and a handmade stuffed bunny, are given to each baby born at Newman Regional Health. The project began in August 2007.
Families will be asked to sign a guest book and have their photographs taken for the group’s collection of memorabilia.
Teachers and volunteers will use part of the party time to cut out and stuff more bunnies to give away.
Eleanor Browning and Janice Romeiser are coordinators for the group.
reddog (K. B. Thomas Jr.) says...
This article reminds me of a bunny story. A man told his son, "Don't ever go to a bunny show, you might see something you don't want to see" And he was right, For the very next night, he saw his father on the front row."
