Grandview reunion
The 16th annual Grandview Community reunion will be held Sunday, beginning with a potluck lunch at 12:30 p.m. in the former Toledo Township High School building. The school will open at noon. Participants are to bring a covered dish and tableware. Beverages will be provided. Any pictures or memorabilia to share will be appreciated. There is handicapped accessibility at the south door. Republican Women to meet
The Lyon County Republican Women, their families and friends will meet at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Lake Kahola shelter house for a meeting and salad supper with Donna Taylor serving as hostess. Participants are to bring food items for the Salvation Army pantry and items for the soldier boxes.
School board
Madison-Virgil USD 386 Board of Education meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the board of education office in Madison.
The agenda includes communications; public forum; building project; 4 year old At-Risk Preschool Program; action items-business by consent- approval of current accounts payable, treasurer’s report, hearing officers, asbestos management representative, classified employment, supplemental employment, certificates of deposit; board policy updates, personnel, administrative reports, executive session, adjournment.
Cruise night
Emporia Flatland Cruisers and Floyd’s will sponsor a Cruise Night from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at Floyd’s, 1221 Industrial Road.
