Emporia Schools
BREAKFAST
Monday: No school.
Tuesday: Pancake minis or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday: Danish or cereal and graham cookies.
Thursday: Pizza or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: Yogurt and muffin or cereal and graham cookies.
LUNCH
Monday: No school.
Tuesday: Hot dogs, tater tots, broccoli/cheese, fresh apple wedges, caramel dip.
Wednesday: Beef taco, soft tortilla, Mexican rice, tossed salad, pineapple tidbits, cinnamon puff.
Thursday: Chicken strips, wheat dinner roll, cheesy potatoes, green beans, orange smiles.
Friday: Spaghetti, garlic French bread, garden salad, peaches.
Friendship Meals
EMPORIA
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
For home delivery, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week:
Monday: Closed for Labor Day.
Tuesday: Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, bread, peaches.
Wednesday: Beef and noodles, cole slaw, wheat roll, cinnamon pears, Jello cake.
Thursday: Honey glazed pork chop, hash brown casserole, cucumber/tomatoes, wheat bread, melon cup.
Friday: Turkey slice, dressing, baked squash, mandarin oranges, bread.
NORTH LYON COUNTY
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414.
Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week:
Monday: Closed for Labor Day.
Tuesday: Beef and noodles, tossed salad, wheat roll, cinnamon pears.
Wednesday: Roast turkey, mashed potatoes/gravy, corn, hot roll, mandarin oranges.
Thursday: Salisbury steak with mushroom gravy, boiled potatoes, Italian blend, bread.
Friday: Chicken patty/bun, lettuce/tomato, macaroni salad, strawberry jello cake.
