Lebo
The Coffey County Republican reported that a committee of Lebo citizens is working on the possibility of constructing a train park in Lebo for the purpose of safe observation of trains. The committee is looking at the potential impact of a train park might have on tourism to Lebo and Coffey County. About 65 to 80 trains pass through Lebo in a 24-hour period.
Admire
Admire will have a Fall Festival on Sept. 19 that will kick off with a horseshoe tournament at 9 a.m. Day’s festivities will include a variety of activities. Teams of two can register in advance for the horseshoe tournament for $15 by contacting Ron Kuhn at (620) 344-0066 or at the park from 7:30 to 8:30 the day of the tournament.
