Check back later for complete coverage of Saturday's game.
Half
Augustana has scored 20 unanswered points and leads Emporia State 20-6 at halftime.
The Hornets got off to a fast start with La’Darrian Page busting loose for a 68-yard touchdown run on the Hornets’ second offensive play.
Since Page’s run, Emporia State has only four first downs and 103 yards of offense, compared to 183 yards and 20 first downs for Augustana.
Augustana tied the game on a Tyler Schulte 3-yard touchdown run and took the lead on a Schulte 12-yard touchdown catch on the first play of the second quarter.
Augustana quarterback Luke Butler found Schulte again with 21 seconds left in the half on a 15-yard touchdown pass.
Page has struggled to find any room to run since his 68-yard touchdown run and has 94 yards on 12 carries.
ESU quarterback Andre Sloan El has also struggled throwing the ball, completing only 3-of-8 passes for 70 yards, all to Danny McEvoy.
The Augie pass rush has gotten to Sloan El and rushed most of his throws, and he’s been sacked twice.
Both extra points on Emporia State and Augustana’s first touchdowns were blocked.

Sioux Falls, SD is home of the Auguastana College ESU played. They are D-II. The Northern Sun Conference offers less athletic scholarships in football, and maybe other sports, than the MIAA allows. Do not sell the NSC short. They can compete. Had a national champ last season
There is another same name college in IL Maybe they are D-III

This game did not have to be lost! Page might be great in the open, but he can't run through traffic! one hand is all it took to bring him down, all day! Trying to make big stats for one player cost the whole team! They played smashmouth ball up front all day, we didnt. Just ask the players.
