Coin Laundry thefts investigated

Local law enforcement is seeking information about three thefts at coin laundries in Emporia between Aug. 29 and 31. Between these dates, multiple coin-operated machines were broken into and several dollars in quarters and $1 bills were taken during daylight hours.
Anyone with information regarding these thefts or any other crime can call Lyon County Crime Stoppers at 342-2273 or the Emporia Police Department at 343-4200.

The "crooks" were simply trying to redistribute some of the laundromat owner's wealth to themselves.
