On behalf of Calvary Chapel Fellowship of Emporia I want to thank Michael Dakota and the Gazette for the great pictures of the baptism service our church held at the Jones Aquatic Center on Sunday, Aug. 2 (pictures were in Aug. 7 edition).
With the wonderful cooperation of the people at the Aquatic Center, Ben Crousore, disabled due to a swimming accident, was able to fulfill a longtime desire to demonstrate to the world his faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord through the act of baptism.
The Aquatic Center provided a "water chair" that appeared to be made from PVC pipe and wheelchair wheels that allowed it to be rolled into the pool which has a "beach like" entrance. This wonderful and unusual event would not have been possible had it not been for the great people at the Aquatic Center and we want them to know we are extremely grateful.
God has promised in His word that some day Ben will be with his Savior for eternity and will be able to walk and run and leap with unending joy. What an incredible promise to anticipate.
Again, thanks go to Michael Dakota, the Gazette and the Jones Aquatic Center. May God richly bless each and everyone involved.

This is great. I love reading stories of people going out of their way to help others. Nice work!
