Who knows with this forum? If a certain person doesn't like the comments they are pulled.

What forum are you guys talking about? Is there one other than this comments section? I wasn't aware of these charges and this caught me off guard. Can either of you enlighten me with any certainty other than the Emporia Rumor Mill which is what will be in tommorow's gazette.

It seems some articles are not inviting comments - this, as well as the Madelyns. The original articles are not set up to accept comments When I first posted from this format, it was noted there was 1 comment. There was none, but at least it gave access here to add.

On the subject matter, I thought felony charges seemed excessive. I would like to see fair justice in all cases. The final outcome of this will be interesting. After all, the man lost his job. Can you hear the trains on Union St.? Nevermind, I know a railroad when I hear one.

I was wondering too what happened to the postings that were on the madelynn's story, but have now disappeared. ??? Usually, when the posts go away, it says "removed by staff". That isn't even there, and there is no way to post anything about that story, except on a different story. curious.

Very curious. I guess we will just have to make our own assumptions, as the Gazette apparently chooses to not explain.

Comments to the original Madelynn's story were disabled after they degenerated into character assassination. I had other commitments on my calendar that night that left no time to babysit the forum for selective editing.

As for the number of comments not matching up... when a user is banned, his or her comments do not appear to the general public, although it does appear on his or her computer. I didn't design the software, I just monitor it.

I can tell you that the first comment to this article came from a banned user, so it is not showing up on your or my computer.
