Emporia City Commission
Tuesday, September 1, 2009
Emporia’s budget for the 2010 fiscal year will be considered following a public hearing during the city commission’s meeting at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the City Commission Room, 518 Mechanic St.
Also on the agenda for consideration on Wednesday will be two traffic ordinances, one to increase the speed limit on Sixth Avenue between Union and State streets and setting school zone hours to four hours, and another to allow two-way traffic on Wilson and Sherman streets between Seventh and Ninth avenues.
City business will take up a large part of the meeting, with commissioners considering a resolution to adopt a cash reserve policy for the city’s utility funds, a resolution to adopt the city’s organizational chart for 2010 and a resolution to authorize the reallocation of bond proceeds.
Commissioners also will honor Clint Bowyer with a proclamation and will introduce the city’s new fire battalion chief and fire captains.

emporian35:
Your comment was removed because it dealt with a topic removed from other forums. And, for the record, your statement WAS false, another key reason that topic is out of bounds.
