A library card, a computer and access to the Internet. With that, you don’t even have to leave the house to watch movies, TV shows, how-to videos and much more.
Beginning this month, patrons of the Emporia Public Library will be able to download more than 1,100 movies and shows for free through the library’s Web site.
Through a partnership with Recorded Books, LLC, an online movie rental company, the library is now able to offer MyLibraryDV, an Internet service that allows library cardholders to download videos to their personal computers 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
