Emporia Schools
BREAKFAST
Monday: Pancake on a stick.
Tuesday: Little smokies and Texas toast/jelly.
Wednesday: Burrito.
Thursday: Blueberry bagel/jelly.
Friday: Frosted long john and mozzarella cheese stick.
Breakfasts are served with juice and milk. Cereal and graham cookies are available each day as breakfast alternatives.
LUNCH
Monday: Taco burger/bun, fries, fresh vegetable choice/dip, diced pears, cookie.
Tuesday: Country steak, wheat dinner roll, mashed potatoes/gravy, corn, banana.
Wednesday: Chicken fajita, soft tortilla, refried beans, tossed salad, diced peaches, graham gripz.
Thursday: Burrito, nacho chips, cheese sauce, tossed salad, honey apple crisp.
Friday: Little smokies, macaroni & cheese, garlic biscuit, green beans, baby carrots/dip.
Lunches are served with milk.
Friendship Meals
EMPORIA
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
For home delivery, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week:
Monday: Creamed chicken, boiled potatoes, stewed tomatoes, biscuit, peaches.
Tuesday: Turkey, sweet potato casserole, green beans, bread, applesauce.
Wednesday: Hot roast beef sandwich, mashed potatoes/gravy, mixed vegetables, fruit cocktail cake.
Thursday: Baked chicken, rice pilaf, carrots, wheat roll, mandarin oranges.
Friday: Roast pork, Au Gratin potatoes, green beans, bread, pears.
Two percent milk is served with each meal.
NORTH LYON COUNTY
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414.
Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week:
Monday: Beef noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, strawberries with topping.
Tuesday: Fish/bun, Au Gratin potatoes, breaded tomatoes, plums.
Wednesday: Lemon Baked chicken, potatoes/gravy, carrots, bread pudding.
Thursday: Sloppy Joe/bun, potato chips, coleslaw, peaches.
Friday: Hamburder steak and stuff, baked potato, corn, pumpkin bars.
F Menus are provided by the senior meals programs and the Emporia school district.
