Bob Karr, owner of The Orchard, 1120 N. Highway 99, is finding a home for overflow apples in his orchard through a partnership with Evco Wholesale.
Karr said he started working with Evco last year — and it benefits both parties. Evco markets the apples as Kansas apples to schools in Kansas.
“They go directly to schools,” Karr said. “They are promoting Kansas-grown apples for several school districts.”
