Emporia Schools
BREAKFAST
Monday: Sausage biscuit, jelly.
Tuesday: Danish.
Wednesday: Pizza.
Thursday: No school.
Friday: No school.
Breakfasts are served with juice and milk. Cereal and graham cookies are available each day as breakfast alternatives.
LUNCH
Monday: Pizza, tossed salad, banana, bosco apple stick.
Tuesday: Crispitos, nacho chips, cheese sauce, Mexican salsa, applesauce, oatmeal cookie, milk.
Wednesday (Bus Drivers’ Day): Turkey fritter, wheat dinner roll, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, diced peaches, milk.
Thursday: No school.
Friday: No school.
Lunches are served with milk.
Friendship Meals
EMPORIA
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
For home delivery, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week:
Monday: Smothered steak with mushrooms, oven-browned potatoes, corn, bread, blushing applesauce.
Tuesday: Chicken teriyaki, wild rice, carrots, wheat roll, blueberry dessert.
Wednesday: Roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, bread, cake, ice cream.
Thursday: Chili with beans, cole slaw, crackers, cinnamon roll, tropical fruit salad.
Friday: Sweet and sour chicken, rice, oriental blend, wheat roll, strawberry with topping.
Two percent milk is served with each meal.
NORTH LYON COUNTY
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414.
Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week:
Monday: Creamed chicken with vegetables, biscuits, V-8 juice, peaches.
Tuesday: Swiss steak with tomato, baked potato, Italian blend, bread, fruit crisp.
Wednesday: Roast turkey, stuffing, gravy, corn, hot roll, pears, cottage cheese
Thursday: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, spinach, bread, apricots.
Friday: Sweet and sour chicken with vegetables and fruit, rice, bread, dump cake.
