Eureka
The Eureka Herald reported that the school board met and discussed enrollment numbers for the district. Superintendent Randy Corns went over the official enrollment count with the board, which was compiled on Sept. 20.
The combined total enrollment at the elementary and the junior-senior high school increased by seven students. A total of $141,303 may be added to the proposed budget if the state approves the official count.
Cottonwood Falls
The Chase County Leader-News reported that the Cottonwood Falls City Council met Oct. 6 and discussed the Neighborhood Revitalization Plan. Members of Chase County Development were on hand to answer any questions for the council before voting on the proposed plan.
The city council voted to adopt the resolution. If all other participants adopt the resolution, they hope to have everything in place to being the program on Jan. 1.
Chase County
The Chase County Leader-News reported that approximately 170 Chase County residents received seasonal flu vaccines at the county’s flu vaccination drill on Oct. 7. The drill team used all the vaccine on hand in an hour and a half.
