Mini Train Run
The Sertoma Club of Emporia, in conjunction with the Salvation Army, will have a Mini Train Run from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Soden’s Grove Park for donations for the Salvation Army. Donations accepted will include monetary gifts, non-perishable food commodities, canned goods, boxed and plastic sealed items, etc.; also, items of warmth, such as new or clean blankets, quilts, coats, sweaters, etc. All food donations will help replenish the Salvation Army food pantry. Pancakes
The First Christian Church will have the third annual Learning Center Pancake Breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday. All proceeds will go to support the Learning Center preschool.
Soup supper
The First Congregational Church Fall Harvest Soup Supper will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday in Fellowship Hall. The menu includes vegetable beef, chicken noodle and broccoli-cheese soups and chili (choice one), crackers, salad, dessert, iced tea or coffee. The suggested donation is $6 for adults and $3 for children. Open to the community.
