Melvern Community PRIDE is sponsoring the Fall Festival and Craft Fair on Oct. 24 at Melvern, with the help of the school, churches and community members. The day begins with with the Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Melvern Community Center.
At 1 p.m., there will be a Halloween costume parade for pre-school through sixth grade, after which there will be a hayride around town (for parade participants accompanied by a parent or guardian). A ham and bean supper with salad and dessert (or hot dogs) will be served from 5:30 to 7 p.m. to benefit PRIDE with a suggested donation of $6 for adults and $3 for children through age 12.
At 7 p.m., there will be a hayride to the haunted house (meet at the community center), after which there will be cookies and hot chocolate, provided by the Melvern churches, at the community center. For more information, call Kay Salisbury at (785) 549-0116 or e-mail: larryandkay@embarqmail.com.
