The Emporia State soccer team was held scoreless for the third time during its six game losing streak, losing on Saturday 1-0 at Northwest Missouri.
The ESU defense held the Bearcats scoreless for 70 minutes until Andrea Tritz scored the game’s only goal. The Hornets struggled to generate any offense and finished with just one shot on goal. ESU was outshot 15-4 overall.
Ashley Hill had the only shot on goal for ESU. Nikki Schmitz finished with six saves.
The Hornets will wrap up their four-game road trip at Washburn on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
