Emporia will have a new thrift store soon with the opening of Goodwill next week.
The new store, at 904 E. 12th Ave., will have a ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. Oct. 14 to kick off the official opening.
The 8,125-square-foot store, located at the old Movie Gallery site, will provide 10 to 15 new jobs, both full- and part-time, according to Gayle Goetz, vice president for development of Goodwill Industries Easter Seals of Kansas.

Have you ever even been to a Goodwill store, emporiaman? That's not how they do things. At least in the ones I've been to in other cities.
For heaven's sake, people could use an attitude adjustment. OMG IT'S NEW AND DIFFERENT, I'M-A COMPLAIN ABOUT IT ON THE GAZETTE FORUMS.
