For the Newcomb family, the term “home” will soon change.
The Newcomb family is helping to build Emporia’s latest Habitat for Humanity home, which they hope to move into soon. The family watched Saturday as volunteers worked tirelessly during a chilly October morning to get the walls of the home up. Many of the volunteers Saturday were from the Emporia State University men’s basketball team.
The Newcombs are no stranger to having their family featured in the paper. The family, which includes mom Julie Newcomb, dad Don Newcomb II, 5-year-old twins, Chloe and Penelope, 3-year-old Baylie and 20-month-old Nehemiah.
