Lebo coach Butch Jones is getting so used to his team’s dominating performances, the coach is starting to get spoiled.
The resurgent Wolves opened Eight-Man district play with a 46-0 mercy-rule win, using a big second quarter to put away Marmaton Valley by halftime.
“We’re pretty happy with it,” Jones said. “We’ve still got several things we need to improve on. Overall, we’re pretty happy with the way we’re moving. We’re moving in the right direction.”
The Wolves are once again moving in the direction of the playoffs, which they missed last season after making it 10 out of the previous 11 years.
The difference this season has been a dominating run game and strong defense, and that continued to be the case against Marmaton Valley.
