Hornets lose at Southern

The Emporia State soccer team lost a battle of last-place teams on Thursday, falling at Missouri Southern 2-1.
Emporia State struggled once again to generate much offense and was outshot 24-15, but only 9-8 in shots on goal.
The Lions struck first in the match, scoring in the 26th minute on a Michelle Dizma goal.
Sarah Anderson answered in the 48th minute with her second goal, scoring for the second straight game. Holli Schletbaum added her first assist of the year.
Alicia Vonderheid got the go-ahead goal for the Lions in the 69th minute.
