Christmas is less than a month away and Emporia Main Street has a host of activities to celebrate the holiday season, from carriage rides to loads of shopping opportunities.
• Holiday carriage rides will be every Thursday starting this week from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., weather permitting. Ticket sales begin at 4:30 p.m. at the Farmers Market Kiosk. There will be another carriage ride on Saturday, Dec. 19 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
• Breakfast with Santa will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Emporia Public Library. This event is for school-age children.
• The Kris Kringle Kids Shoppe will be open during the holiday season. The kids shoppe is a temporary storefront that is set up for children to shop for friends and family. All gifts will be $10 or under. The kids shoppe will be at the Granada Lofts, 726 Commercial St., and will run from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 16; 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 17; 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 18 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 19.
