Boston finds shot in blowout win

JOPLIN, Mo. — Most of the weekend, Emporia State senior guard Cassondra Boston set up more field goals than she scored.
In fact, her 11 assists during the two games in the Pizza Hut/Fairfield Inn Thanksgiving Classic doubled her season total to 22.
But midway through the second half, Boston started finding the range from the field, and her 16 points topped a balanced attack as the No. 7 Lady Hornets decked Avila 84-50 Saturday afternoon at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center.
