Olpe students Kayleb Allen and Bo Krueger, who won the Learning Quest Essay contest sponsored by the Kansas State treasurer’s office. They each won a $1,000 Learning Quest education savings account plus pizza parties for their classrooms.
F Organizers and participants of the National Teachers Hall of Fame auction. The auction raised $14,418, which was $3,000 more than last year.
F Jocie Miser, who received year-end awards from the Kansas Junior Rodeo Association. She was crowned the year-end champion in barrel racing, year-end champion in breakaway roping and year-end reserve all-around cowgirl.
F Newman Regional Health CEO Bob Driewer, who was elected to serve a three-year term on the 2010 Kanas Health Service Board of Directors.
F ESU basketball player Tim Niles, who was named MIAA men’s athlete of the week. Niles averaged 33 points and 3.5 rebounds in ESU’s first two games.
