Emporia High School band director Bob Haselhuhn will be at Flint Hills Music all day Friday as part of a fundraising effort to buy slightly used drums to replace the well-worn drums the high school students have been using.
Haselhuhn will have tickets for a drawing for a playhouse made in the style of the White House. Suggested donations for the tickets are $5 each.
The playhouse was built by volunteers, with supplies, materials and labor donated by: Sutherland Lumber, Williams Automotive, Bill Redeker Construction, Mike Williams, Sheila Williams of Bank of America, Groh Printing and Printing Plus. All money raised will go directly to the band.
This is the third year a playhouse has been built and raffled off, with proceeds going to charities.
