Vaccine recall
Wednesday, November 25, 2009
The Lyon County Health Department said a recent recall of H1N1 vaccine does not affect Lyon County.
Ann Mayo, public information officer for Lyon County Health Department, said the vaccine being recalled was produced by GlaxoSmithKline.
“At this point the only information that our office has received has been from the media,” Mayo said in a press release. “It appears that the vaccine in question was limited to Canada. GlaxoSmithKline said there were no similar reports from other countries.”
Mayo said the health department is not aware of any adverse effects of the vaccine in the United States.
“The Lyon County Health Department has not received any vaccine from GlaxoSmithKline,” she said.

The company that makes the vaccine will make millions and they are exempt from liability.
