It’s been a great couple of years for Lebo volleyball.
Coming off a 35-3 year in 2008, this year’s edition of the Wolves ended their season just a step away from the big prize, finishing second at the Class 2A volleyball tournament in Hays with a 38-6 mark. That success — easily the most among the seven schools in The Gazette’s coverage area — has resulted in four Wolves players being selected to The Gazette’s 2009 All-Area volleyball team, including area player of the year Morgan Laflin. Lebo coach Gina Peek also earned the area coach of the year award for the second straight season.
