Stolen Christmas
WICHITA (AP) — A nonprofit drug and alcohol treatment center in Wichita is in a bind after a thief made off with Christmas presents for children of its adult clients.
The staff at Parallax Program says the gifts — already wrapped — were taken by someone who broke into a storage shed over the weekend.
The stolen items include MP3 players, boom boxes and CD players, all taken from bag with gifts meant for older teens. In all, Parallax coffeehouse manager Kim Rogers says, more than a dozen packages were taken.
