Strong City
The Chase County Leader-News reported that the City of Strong City Council decided to purchase a safe for the city office following a burglary of the office earlier this month. The Council decided to make the purchase at the Nov. 10 meeting, just one day after the burglary. The Chase County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the burglary.
Burlington
The Coffey County Republican reported that the “Joys of Christmas” is the theme of Burlington’s Christmas parade which will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 12. The parade will start at Second Street and Neosho Street and travel west on Neosho Street to Sixth Street in Burlington.
