Plenty of honors for EHS, Cornejo

Emporia High’s boys soccer team was rewarded nicely on the All-Region, All-League and All-State lists after producing perhaps the finest season in school history.
Six Spartans were selected to the Kansas Soccer Coaches Association’s All-Central Kansas Region team, three EHS players were chosen for All-Centennial League recognition and four were chosen for KSCA Class 5A All-State honors following Emporia’s 13-7-1 year, which ended with a fourth-place finish in the State tournament.
