CHASE COUNTY — The Tallgrass National Prairie Preserve will be full of holiday cheer with an abundance of activities and decorations for the holidays.
The preserve, which is two miles north of Strong City on Kansas State Highway 177, will be decorated for the holidays with cedar, natural berries, pods and buck brush. This will represent an 1880s historic holiday setting and will run from Nov. 28 to Dec. 31.
From noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 28, Spring Hill Ranch will be at the height of the holiday season.

Congradulations to the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve for obtaining 6 Million Dollars in Federal Money. I urged our leaders of Commerce to get with the program about a year and a half ago. They informed me that they were to busy. If Emporia is the front porch to the Flint Hills., it would seem to me that we should have been working on this as a joint project as 4 million cars pass through the Turnpike Interchange.
