“Over, Under, Around and Through,” an obstacle course for children will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Emporia Recreation Center gymnasium. The course will help children develop gross motor skills and have fun at the same time. Hula Hoops, balance beams, limbo, ride-on toys, stairs, bean bag tosses, ring tosses, scooters and parachute play activities will be offered. There also will be a special snack and storytime station featuring the book, “Wiggle.” According to the news release, this activity is great for multi-age groups, but is designed for children ages 18 months to 5 years old. There is no charge. Parents and daycare providers are invited to participate.
