NEOSHO RAPIDS — Southern Lyon County is among 59 Kansas school districts to receive a 2009 Challenge Award through the Confidence in Kansas Public Education Task Force.
Challenge Awards are “designed to recognize Kansas Schools that are making a significant difference in student achievement despite facing significant challenges in school population,” a press release stated. Neosho Rapids in Southern Lyon County received a Challenge Award for sixth grade math.
